September POD Schedule
PODS meet twice a week for one month (8 sessions) with a focus on increasing all areas of health and well being, including but not limited to, muscular strength, muscular endurance, anaerobic/aerobic capacity and integrated flexibility training. P.O.W.E.R. programs are largely influenced by training movement, not muscles. Using an integrated functional training approach allows us to train the body for optimal health and long lasting results. Our training programs incorporate cutting edge equipment and techniques. Examples include: TRX training, kettle bells, medicine balls, BOSU trainer, strong bands, etc.
POD personal training sessions are offered for only $25 per session. You must register for the month in full. Once you are in a pod, the spot is yours for as long as you want to stay. If you elect to leave at the end of the month your spot will go to the next person on the waiting list. Payment for the month is due by the 28th.
There is no mixing of these schedules due to wanting the teams to be able to gel in the environment discussed above.

What sets P.O.W.E.R. apart from other fitness centers?? Our innovative small group specialty classes. Class size is limited to only 6 participants.
$15/class or buy a punch card of 5 for $13/class. Punch card classes must be used within 60 days of purchase. You can purchase punch cards at the studio at any time or purchase it on the day of your first class. 4 person minimum for all classes. All classes are GIRL POWER ONLY!! :) Guys are welcome to participate in classes on Saturdays.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Yin Yang : Yin Yang is used to describe how polar or seemingly contrary forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, and how they give rise to each other in turn - a perfect description for the newest class on POWER's schedule!!! This class fuses 2 apparently very different workout methods - a metabolic tornado, consisting of nonstop movement with various pieces of equipment, and power yoga. Metabolic tornadoes last approximately 10 minutes/per tornado and consist of plyometrics, level changes, pushing, pulling and rotation. You will complete 2 tornadoes and finish up with power yoga. This class is designed for those participants who have worked out anaerobically for at least 4 weeks. 1 hour
Complexes & Chains : With complex training you are performing whole body movements that flow together in a fashion that allows you to keep your heart rate up while also improving neuromuscular coordination. Complex training is a type of weight lifting that is meant to replace your traditional cardio sessions. Because the body often shows adaptation to repetitive endurance activities like running, biking, elliptical, etc., complexes allow you to overcome this barrier so you are consistently getting results from your workout. Additionally, because complexes are done using strength training exercises, there will be a better transfer to your lifting workouts as well.

POWER Yoga : Incorporates strength, balance, and flexibility as well as engages the body, mind, and spirit. This class is designed with athletes in mind: it will incorporate basic poses (asanas) that will focus on building strength and stretching major muscles in hips, shoulders and hamstrings. Beyond the proven physical benefits of this practice, yoga's greatest asset is its ability to lead us into a quiet, internal focus. 1 hour
TRX : Build overall strength and stability with this highly efficient Suspension Training program. TRX Pure Strength is a non-stop workout set to music, where you spend the entire time using the TRX. All levels welcome. Duration: 45 minutes
Ropes, Bags & Bells : A unique metabolic conditioning class utilizing cutting edge equipment - heavy battling ropes, sandbags, kettlebells, TRX and a heavy bag. You will move from station to station working on various strength training techniques. A guaranteed heart pumping fat blasting workout!! 45 minutes
POWER Fight : Lace up some gloves and get ready to sweat!! This unique class mirrors an actual boxing, kickboxing or mixed martial arts bout with five, three-minute rounds separated by one-minute active breaks. Using a heavy bag, thai pads, gloves, jump rope, timer and music, the workouts build cardio endurance and muscle tone. 1 hour
FULL BODY BLAST is a "trainers choice" type class where we will use ropes,kettlebells, TRXs, heavy bags, boxing, body weight resistance, and cutting edge programming to confuse your muscles, get your heart rate up and get you sweating! Many of the workouts we will do will involve complex training where you are performing whole body movements that flow together in a fashion that allows you to keep your heart rate up while also improving neuromuscular coordination. Because the body often shows adaptation to repetitive endurance activities like running, biking, elliptical, etc., complexes allow you to overcome this barrier so you are consistently getting results from your workout. It will be great for folks who are just starting out and for folks who have been around the P.O.W.E.R. "block". You will leave continuing to burn calories throughout the rest of the weekend!
